Set inside the walls of a small radio station, WiRE-LESS depicts what life is truly like behind the microphone.

The working environment is the same as any office, with its share of backstabbing, one-up-man-ship and secret love affairs that everyone already knows about.

Add to this, a group of people that suffer with delusions of grandeur. Every radio presenter is an odd mix of ego and insecurity. Some let ego rule their world, others let insecurity take it over. Here, it’s mostly ego. With so many creative minds trying to work together, all vying to be the best, is it any wonder there’s friction in the ranks?Whilst discovering what makes these people tick, along the way we dispel the many myths about radio in all its gory detail.

Once you have seen WiRE-LESS, you will never listen to radio the same way again.

Originally created in Australia, filmed and shot in March 1999. 
The concept has grown over the years, and in 2005, a revised TV pilot was shot with a new script and an English cast, of actors, comedians, television presenters and actual radio presenters, playing roles that may not have mirrored themselves, but of those they worked with in the industry..
