Waiting For Death
Going beyond the territory of “Little Britain” or “Brasseye”, this unique sketch comedy series continues to build up a cult following with constant downloads of the series right around the world.
In 2007, WAITING FOR DEATH received a nomination for best comedy series, the only non-US entry. It didn’t win. Must have been something we said.
Featuring dozens of talented voice over artists and actors, this series is the brain child of company co-director Colin McGinness, who writes 90% of all scripts, produces, occasionally voices, and composes the entire series in his spare time… what little of it there is.
The series explores the depths of an increasingly cynical world and when not attempting to raise the ire of the establishment, sketches will revert to the simple pleasures in life; some quality flatulence.
Yes the series may step over the lines of political correctness and decency but the aim has always been to satirize the absurdity of our often shallow modern ways. Along the way, Waiting For Death brings a stark reminder of the ever increasing control of so called free speech in mainstream media. And then spits in its face.
The series contains high production values and an attention to detail that showcases the scope and quality of Wonkana Productions.
